Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a dedicated food service team member in Paola, KS to support daily kitchen operations and guest service in a school/campus dining setting.

You will follow recipes, manage portions, maintain safety standards, and work with a team to deliver fresh, appealing meals during a 6:30am–2:00pm shift. This role offers opportunities for advancement and training within a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to do simple arithmetic.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to lift 30 Lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Dependable, Punctual.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling requirements.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of guest service at all times.
• Execute recipes to the letter.
• Prepare meals by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature, and is attractive and tasty.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follows and completes production sheets.
• Ability to meet deadlines in completion of daily workload.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food handling procedures.
• Set up and tear down of workstation.
• Receives and unpacks food deliveries.
• Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Polite and professional communication style.
• Understands and utilized FIFO.
• Performs other related duties as requested by the leadership team.
