Job summary

Chesterwood Advanced Therapy in Ohio is seeking Full Time and Part Time Cooks to prepare meals for residents under therapeutic diets. You will follow prepared menus, assist with serving and cleaning, and support dietary supervision as needed.

• Assists with the Food Service Assistant by serving food and cleaning/setting tables.
• Completes other assigned duties when not cooking/preparing food.
• Follows health regulations by the public health department.

Job description

Facility is currently looking for Full Time and Part Time Cooks. Come join our team as a Cook in our state of the art skilled nursing facility. The cook prepares food in quantities enough for patient meals, including special foods as necessary for therapeutic diets. The cook will follow the prepared menu as written, utilizing recipes and production instructions. In addition, the cook will assist as needed with cleaning and serving of meals. The cook may also be assigned related tasks and duties by the dietary supervisor or Executive Chef.

$13.75 To $23.00 an hour, depending on certifications and experience!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and cooks the residents' food

• Ability to work under pressure at peak periods
• Willingness and cooperation in following instructions as given
• Basic knowledge of quantity food preparation and cooking beneficial
• Ability to estimate relative quantities of food, per written recipes
