Job summary

The Arbor Company in Citrus Park, FL, is hiring a Full-Time Cook to create dining experiences for our residents. Shift 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM with competitive hourly pay between $18.50 and $20.50, based on experience.

You'll prepare meals from established recipes, adjust for special diets, assist with inventory, and uphold sanitation and safety standards. This role emphasizes teamwork, respect, and delivering meals that residents love.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience in restaurant, healthcare, or senior living required or preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cooking techniques.
• Experience with special diets preferred.
• Ability to prepare meals for 100+ guests is a plus.
• Team player with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, high-quality meals using established recipes and menus.
• Follow special diet modifications and portion guidelines.
• Assist with food deliveries, inventory rotation, and kitchen organization.
• Maintain sanitation, food safety, and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with the Dining Director to ensure smooth meal service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, or similar environment (culinary training is a plus)
• Understands food safety, sanitation, and proper cooking techniques
• Has experience with special diets (preferred)
• Can prepare meals for large groups (100+ guests is a plus)
• Enjoys working as part of a team
