Job summary

Arbor Terrace Delray in Delray Beach, FL is hiring a full-time Cook to prepare fresh, high-quality meals using established recipes and rotating menus. You will work closely with the Dining Director and culinary team to ensure smooth meal service and a welcoming dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in restaurant, healthcare, or senior living preferred.
• Culinary training or degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, portion control, and proper food handling practices.
• Experience preparing meals for large groups is preferred.
• Experience with therapeutic or special diets is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
• Positive attitude with a passion for serving others.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh, high-quality meals using established recipes and rotating menus.
• Following therapeutic diets and special dietary modifications when needed.
• Preparing food safely while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Assisting with food ordering, receiving, storage, inventory rotation, and organization.
• Maintaining sanitation and food safety standards in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Completing required temperature logs, production records, and kitchen documentation.
• Working closely with the Dining Director and culinary team to ensure smooth meal service.
• Helping create an enjoyable dining experience for our residents every day.
