Job Description:
A Wingstop cook is responsible for preparing quality food that tastes great and is consistent from day to day. This position is critical to Wingstop Restaurants; ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and maintaining the highest quality products and services for each customer. The cook follows proper personal hygiene and sanitation procedures and must focus on their job in a calm, efficient manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure each guest has a positive, lasting impression of the Wingstop experience.
- Practice safe cooking procedures.
- Quickly scan and comprehend order tickets.
- Accurately count the required Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings, and Boneless Strips for each order.
- Coordinate cooking times of wings, strips, and fries with timers.
- Follow Wingstop standards to sauce, season, and package orders.
- Count cooked wings, strips into sauce bowls accurately.
- Cook and prepare wings, strips, and fries in proper fryers and baskets.
- Filter and refresh fryer shortening daily following safety procedures and using proper safety equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen throughout the shift and at closing time.
- Report safety, sanitation, or employee issues immediately to the Manager on Duty.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Follow directions from Managers or Supervisors.
- Understand and implement good hygiene and food handling practices.
- Properly and safely use chemical cleaning products following instructions.
