Job summary

Triboro Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen in the Bronx, NY. The role supports daily meal preparation and service for our 405-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility.

The ideal candidate holds a healthcare cooking certification (SERV Safe or Sodexo), has at least one year of large-scale cooking experience, and works well in a team to ensure high-quality, therapeutic meals for residents. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo) is required.
• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food prep.
• Must be able to perform physical work.
• Team player with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Will manage kitchen in absence of food service director.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods.
• Baking a variety of rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies.
• Working on tray line during meal service.
• General cleaning up of kitchen.
