Job summary

The Arbor Company is looking for a Cook to join our dining team on site in a resident-centered setting. You will prepare meals using approved recipes, accommodate diet modifications, and rotate menus to ensure variety and nutrition for residents.

You will support stock and log requirements, maintain sanitation and safety standards, and collaborate with the Dining Director to ensure smooth prep, production, and service flow across shifts.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training, or restaurant cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100 people) preferred.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through courtesy and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service and create great meals using established recipes, diet modifications and menu cycles.
• Assist with food stock deliveries, rotation of products and regulatory log requirements.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained by following established cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and flow of service.
