Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a Cook to join our senior living community in New Jersey. You will prepare meals per established recipes, support diet modifications, and cycle menus while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.

Previous kitchen experience, culinary training, and the ability to work with large batches are highly valued. This role offers growth opportunities and a supportive team in a Great Place To Work environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training or restaurant cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100 servings) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service and create meals using established recipes, diet modifications and menu cycles.
• Assist with stock deliveries, product rotation and regulatory log requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by following cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and service flow.
