Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join our Mt Zion community. You will manage food ordering, preparation, and delivery, ensuring meals are nutritious and appealing while maintaining kitchen sanitation.

You will collaborate with the Dining Services Manager to meet resident needs and uphold service quality. The role emphasizes compassion for the elderly, teamwork, and dependable communication with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and complete state-required training.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
• Previous experience working with the elderly.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.

Responsibilities
