Job summary

The Arbor Company is hiring a Cook to join our dining team in a senior living community. You will prepare meals, follow recipes, and modify menus to meet dietary needs while ensuring high quality and service standards.

You will manage food stock, maintain sanitation and safety, and collaborate with the Dining Director to ensure smooth meal service for residents. The role emphasizes respect, teamwork and delivering a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Large batch cooking (100 people) experience is preferred.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations in a courteous, cooperative and understanding manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service, create meals using established recipes and accommodate diet modifications.
• Assist with stock deliveries and rotation of products; maintain regulatory logs.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety by following schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and flow of service.
