Job summary

The Jasper of Mansfield is seeking a dedicated Culinary Services Cook to join our team in Mansfield, TX. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals in a timely and sanitary manner, supporting the Culinary Services Director and ensuring high standards of dining for residents.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, a Food Service Sanitation Certificate, and experience with large-volume meal production.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate per state/local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred and ability to read/understand recipes, work in a team, and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services, ensuring efficient service, customer care, and cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; manage work areas and equipment.
• Ensure leftovers are properly covered, labeled, dated and stored.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
