We’re looking for a reliable, motivated Cook to join our team at Home of the Innocents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, a commitment to providing high-quality meals, and the ability to work well with a team. A Day in the Life
As a Cook, you will follow recipes, prepare and serve food while adhering to federal, state, and local standards and regulations. You will ensure that quality food service is maintained by following established policies and procedures.

Shifts Available

  • Full-time; hours will vary based on department needs
  • Rotating weekend shifts required

How This Position Contributes to our Mission

  • Follow all dietary procedures in accordance with established policies daily.
  • Prepare meal items as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Director of Food Services.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, forms, reports, and data collection, including temperature logs, as mandated by authorities, daily.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas by adhering to cleaning schedules, ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored or turned off before leaving each day.
  • Follow all HACCP procedures, including proper hand washing, safe food handling, and monitoring critical control points daily.
  • Assist with departmental projects as assigned or required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of residents, staff, and visitors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Serv-Safe certification preferred.
