Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon is seeking a Cook to join our friendly, caring, and supportive team in Lisbon, Iowa. The role involves preparing meals for residents, following dietary guidelines, and ensuring safe food handling with accurate temperature records.

Hours are 6am-2pm with every other weekend; more hours may be available for those willing to take on a Dietary Aide role. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents.
• Ensure residents receive appropriate food items for each meal according to dietary needs.
• Record temperatures to ensure food safety.
• Follow recipes for preparing large volumes of food.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and dining experience for residents.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:
