Job description

Thejob incumbent is responsible for the preparation of high quality airlinemeals in accordance with company standards, menu specifications andproduction schedules, while meeting required safety, hygiene and qualitystandard. Knowledge of processes & equipment to be utilized, productionoperations & quality control proceduresKnowledge of airline specifications helpfulExperience in broiling, batch cooking, sautéing, poaching, baking, fryingand blanchingAbility to use knives, gas range, broiler, oven deep fryer, tilt skillet,slicer & related industrial cooking equipmentExperience with properly logging all necessary information within thekitchen as required by audits / safetyAbility to comprehend & create menu specifications - Ensure compliancewith quality standards, FDA, HACCP & other regulations - Ensure quality control to support the team for a smooth & efficientoperation - Follow recipes to exact specifications - Responsible for cooking & packing the proper quantity and quality ofmeals according to airline specifications - Prepare quality meals for employee cafeteria - Inventories & maintains proper quality & quantity of food to meetestablished requirements and daily meal counts - Minimize production disruptions & resolve or report problems,inconsistencies or break downs
