Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Cook to prepare, season, and cook food for patients, staff, visitors, and special events.

You will review menus, determine types and quantities of food, coordinate timing to meet service schedules, and ensure portions meet standards.

You will follow HACCP sanitation guidelines, mentor new staff, and participate in ordering supplies, with the hospital offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of kitchen/line cook experience
• No travel required
• Ability to work in a hospital setting

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepares, seasons, and cook food for patients, staff, visitors, and special functions.
• You will review menus to determine types and quantities of food.
• You Prepares quality food in sufficient quantities to cover all service requirements.
• You will coordinate timing of preparation in order to meet service schedules for patients, staff, visitors and catering services.
• You will adhere to standardization of recipes and portion control to prevent food waste and control cost.
• You will provide care and sanitation of equipment in production area.
• You will adhere to sanitation and safety standards(HACCP)
• You will participate in the process of ordering supplies.
• You will give directions to personnel who assist in food preparation.
• You will orient and mentors new staff members.
