Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe culinary environment with infection control.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean and organized; maintain safe temperatures.
• Wash and store dishes after meals.
• Follow the provided menu, catering to residents' nutritional needs.
• Coordinate with Lead or Resident Services Manager for health inspections.
• Prepare nourishing meals and snacks using minimally processed foods.
• Report shortages or ingredients to Culinary Lead.
• Report broken equipment to Culinary Lead immediately.
• May take extra shifts or assist with special occasions.
• May include early morning or evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe culinary environment in the facility using strict infection control procedures.
• Kitchen and equipment will be clean and organized at all times. Safe food temperatures willbe maintained at all times according to regulations.
• Dishes will be cleaned and properly stored after every meal.
• Follow the provided food menu for nutritionally sound meals, with the needs andpreferences of the residents kept in mind.
• Contact the Lead or Resident Services Manager to assist in Health Department inspections ifthey occur on your shift.
• Prepare and offer nourishing meals and snacks using as many non-processed foods aspossible.
• Report shortages or needs of snacks or meal ingredients to the Culinary Lead.
• Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to Culinary Lead immediately.
• May be asked to take extra shifts or help with special occasions.
• This may include earlymorning or evening hours.

Qualifications

• Cook/Dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care home or other related medical facility is preferred but not required.
• Experience in cooking a variety of food in large quantities.
• Food Handlers or Serv Safe certification.
• Experience with food preparation and nutrition.
