Job Overview:

Our franchise organization, MrEats Corral, LLC dba Golden Corral, is seeking energetic, friendly individuals to join our team! The Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The role requires attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and product specifications.

Food Production:

• Prepares Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking, following Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
• Grills all items according to Golden Corral standards to ensure quality.
• Ensures that fried products are always fresh and hot.
• Restocks items at the Display Cooking Station when the Buffet Attendant is unavailable.
• Assists guests with carved meat options if the Carver is unavailable.
• Follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance.

Operational Excellence:

• Maintains correct temperatures of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
• Uses the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and the Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide for inventory management.
• Performs opening and closing administrative procedures.
• Maintains equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
• Restocks and rotates food using FIFO method.
• Checks inventory and build-to with the Manager at shift start and end.

Cleanliness:

• Ensures the Hot Cook area and smallwares are clean; checks dishes for cleanliness before use.
• Follows local health department laws.
• Keeps Char Grill clean and scraped for product quality and sanitation.

Guest Service:

• Ensures Hot Choice Buffet products are hot and fresh for guests.
• Follows position responsibilities for just-in-time delivery.
• Provides friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Maintains professional communication at all times.
