Morning Pointe Senior Living in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You will craft breakfast, lunch, and dinner items with attention to quality and resident satisfaction, while supporting a positive, caring dining experience.

Ideal candidates have a year of commercial kitchen experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand long hours, and operate kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial kitchen/cooking experience.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner items per recipes.
• Present a professional, friendly demeanor for residents.
• Follow sanitation and food production codes.
• Restock items and maintain clean stations.
• Assist with dish station and expediting as needed.
• Support training opportunities and teamwork.

We Are Looking For

• One year of commercial kitchen/cooking experience
• Someone with reliable transportation

Prep Cooks are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their scheduled station whenever necessary including expediting food and assisting in the dish station. As part of a team-oriented environment, Cooks assist in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need.
