Carriage Inn Katy is seeking a Part-time Cook to continue our story of compassionately caring for our residents. If you are a passionate cook with a flair for creating delicious dishes and have restaurant experience or a culinary arts degree, join our culinary team and help provide a restaurant or country club dining experience for residents. Shifts run from 10:30 a.m.

– 7:00 p.m., 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday on rotation, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 6 months experience as a prep cook (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.

Aufgaben

• Prepares or assist in preparation of complete meals - preparing and cooking soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, baked goods, etc.
• Complies with all special dietary needs or restrictions of residents ensuring everyone enjoys their meals. We provide clear instructions to help you meet the dietary needs ofour residents.
• Create gravies, sauces, and menu items from scratch, showcasing our culinary creativity.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are serve, elevating the dining experience.
• Monitor all food items for compliance with guidelines for temperature, taste and quality, tastes food to determine quality. Taste food to determine quality and adjust as necessary.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment; ensuring all equipment is cleaned, working properly, and turned off before closing.
• Assist in properly utilizing inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
