Job summary

Island Hospitality Management in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Cook to join our hotel culinary team. You will prepare, plate, and present menu items with high standards, while following brand recipes and food safety guidelines. Requirements

Job Requirements

• Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
• Ensuring the kitchen remains well-stocked at all times
• Receiving food and beverage orders as needed
• Follow provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests
• Preparing and plating all food items on the menu
• Using hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
• Cleaning and sanitizing tables, countertops, and floors after each service

Job Qualifications

• Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment
