Job summary

Reedy River Post Acute in Greenville, SC seeks a dependable Cook to join our dietary team. You will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and ensuring meals meet dietary needs.

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Previous cooking or food service experience, preferably in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dietary Manager with meal preparation and food production.
  • Prepare and serve meals following approved menus and recipes.
  • Ensure meals meet physician-ordered dietary restrictions and special diets.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Store food and supplies properly and safely.
  • Assist with meal service and tray preparation as needed.
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment as assigned.
  • Help ensure residents receive meals that meet nutritional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident care.

Position Summary
