Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran in Scotland is seeking a 25-hour-per-week Cook to join the busy kitchen at County Community Hospital, Invergordon. You will assist the Senior Cook with the preparation of all patient and staff meals and may take full responsibility for the catering service in their absence.

Applicants should have City & Guilds/SCPTVEC/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent and proven cooking experience in a similar environment. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Cook in the preparation of all patient and staff meals.
• Take running responsibility for the catering service in the Senior Cook's absence.
• Work across varied hours between 07.30am – 6.00pm on a rotational basis (5/7).

Job description

A 25hr cook post working a variety of hours between 07.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Sunday (5/7 on a rotational basis) has arisen within our busy kitchen in County Community Hospital, Invergordon to work as part of a team assisting the Senior Cook in the preparation of all patient and staff meals assuming full responsibility for the running of the catering service in the absence of the Senior Cook.

Applicants should have previous cooking experience in a similar environment City & Guilds/SCPTVEC/SVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Good Communication And Organisational Skills Are Essential.
