Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Houston, TX. You will clean and maintain kitchen areas, prepare and cook meals, and coordinate with food service staff to ensure timely, diet-compliant meals for residents.

The role requires 2+ years as a cook in a restaurant or institution, a High School Diploma or GED, and a state-approved Food Handler Certification (ServeSafe preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler Certification required by state; ServeSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipment.
• Cook foods in accordance with laws, rules and facility policies.
• Coordinate activities with food service staff.
• Prepare foods for cooking and serving.
• Serve food as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Ensure meals meet diet orders for residents.
