Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a PRN Cook to assist in the preparation and provision of quality meals and nutritional services for patients and staff. The role involves delivering meals, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting dietary needs under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, two years in quantity cooking, and Food Handler’s permit; CPR and Handle With Care certifications may be obtained during orientation.

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of patient meals, delivering food tray to units as needed.
• Ensure that the cafeteria and dining room remain clean and in adherence to all safety and health standards.
• Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting with Dietician as required
• Adhere to standards for food temperatures during cooking, serving and storage of leftovers.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking, preferred.

Licensure: Food Service Food Handler’s permit

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
