Job summary

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a PRN Cook to assist in preparing and providing quality meals and nutritional services for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include preparing and delivering patient meals, keeping food service areas clean, and ensuring safety standards while accommodating modified diets under Dietician guidance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Two (2) years' experience in quantity cooking, preferred.
• Licensure: Food Service Food Handler's permit
• Certifications: CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of patient meals, delivering food tray to units as needed.
• Ensure that the cafeteria and dining room remain clean and in adherence to all safety and health standards.
• Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting with Dietician as required
• Adhere to standards for food temperatures during cooking, serving and storage of leftovers.
