Job summary

Guttenberg Care Center in Guttenberg, IA is seeking a Cook for PRN on-call with potential for part-time work in our skilled nursing kitchen. You will prepare meals that meet resident dietary needs and ensure food safety and quality.

Responsibilities include following recipes for large-volume meal production, recording temperatures, and collaborating with care staff to provide a pleasant dining experience. Prior SNF foodservice experience is preferred, but we will invest in the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferred.
• Willingness to be trained for the role.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Guttenberg Care Center by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
