Job summary

Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a cook to prepare and serve meals for residents and oversee daily food service operations. You will follow menu cycles, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure compliance with sanitation codes while managing inventories and honoring residents' preferences.

The role requires feeding residents on schedule, documenting changes, and communicating effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience with basic kitchen safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents within scheduled times.
• Follow menu cycles and document changes on proper forms.
• Keep kitchen and food service areas clean and organized.
• Comply with state sanitation codes and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory, place orders, and verify deliveries.
• Respect and accommodate resident food preferences.

Job description

As a cook, you will prepare and serve meals, oversee foodservice operation, and ensures adequate food and supplies are available.

You will:

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed

You Currently:

• Can obtain a Food Handlers card. Meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
