Job summary

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to join our healthcare team. This role focuses on preparing meals for lunch and dinner, reviewing menus, and ensuring the correct diet is served to residents.

You will work with healthcare staff to meet nutritional needs, prepare foods per recipes, assist in the food service line, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care settings.
• Serv Safe certification preferred.

Qualifications

Experience: LONG-TERM CARE

Education: SERV SAFE (Preferred)

This position is responsible for preparing meals for lunch, and dinner. Review menus prior to preparation of food, inspect special diet trays to assure correct diet is served to resident, working with health care staff to ensure appropriate nutrition for each resident. Prepare food for all diets accordance with standardized recipes and special diet order, assist in production of food service line, process diet changes and new diets, prepare and serve meals, prepare food for all diets.

Other duties include practicing safe food handling, keeping a clean kitchen and dining room.
