Job summary

Avera St. Luke's Eureka Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to prepare, serve, and distribute meals for patients, staff, and visitors.

You will follow approved menus, meet safety and sanitation standards, and deliver meals on schedule using established scripts to provide excellent service. This part-time role requires 24 hours per week and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, with opportunities to grow within a multidisciplinary team focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification upon hire preferred.
• Less than 1 year of food service/cooking education or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items for patients/residents, meal service, staff, cafeteria, and special functions.
• Delivers all products according to time schedule set for the specific item.
• Meets standards established by leader for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Completes daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Delivers excellent customer service by using scripts developed for Food Services.
• Ensures dietary procedures are followed per established policies.
