Job summary

Fairmount Homes, Inc in Ephrata, PA is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our Dining Services Team. This full-time role supports residents by preparing quality meals in a team-oriented environment, following standardized recipes, and maintaining safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Experience with large quantity food preparation preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Basic culinary math skills.
• Strong hospitality mindset and genuine desire to serve others.
• Professional appearance and commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and dietary needs.
• Ensure food quality, nutritional standards, and safe food temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and equipment care.
• Support special events and catering functions.
• Interact with residents during mealtimes.
• Provide guidance to Dining Services team members in the absence of the Lead Cook.

This full-time position supports our skilled nursing and personal care residents by preparing quality meals in a fun, team-oriented environment.

• Full Time - 40 hours/week
• Includes every other weekend
• Combination of early and evening shifts

Pay & Differentials

• $22.05 - $23.85/hour
• +$1.00/hour evening shift differential
