Pay

This position pays $18.07/hour. It is an hourly position.

Overview

Position Summary: Prepares and presents high-quality food within specified time frames for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customer orders and prepares according to recipes, considering additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 6 months healthcare or restaurant facility experience.
• Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Those hired before 9/1/2020 are grandfathered and exempt.
• Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire at certain locations.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to schedule changes.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, Culinary Degree.
• 2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility.
