Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes is seeking a dedicated cook for Nutrition Services at Oak Crossing. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents and customers, follow approved recipes, and ensure clean, organized food service areas.

Proper use and care of institutional equipment and strict infection-control adherence are required. Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred; Serve Safe Certification may be required within 90 days of hire for certain roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• In institutional food services, experience is preferred.
• Solvay Hospice House only: Serve Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.

Properly uses and cares for institutional food service equipment. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies.

Work Experience: Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, quantity food cooking experience or experience working in an institutional food services department is preferred.
