Job summary

Meadowview of Clive, a Cassia community, is seeking a part-time Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare meals for residents, including diabetic, low-sodium, and pureed options, in a compliant, safety‑minded environment.

You will work in a busy commercial kitchen with a flexible schedule, including days and evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role emphasizes recipe adherence, food safety, and resident well‑being.

Qualifications

• 1+ year commercial cooking/food preparation experience required.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to stand for length of shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

As a Cook at Meadowview of Clive you will be working in a commercial kitchen to make specialized meals for our residents. This can include working with dietary needs that require diabetic, low-sodium and pureed meals along with batch cooking. You will ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities comply with health, cleanliness, and safety regulations.

Position Type: Part‑Time position working a varied schedule including weekends and holidays

Shift: Days & Evenings

Location: 3300 Berkshire Pkwy, Clive, IA 50325

Cook Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
