Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Cook to join the Food & Nutrition team!

Description

The selected applicant will be responsible for preparing and producing food items as required for both patients and cafeteria customers throughout the health system. Must maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and service excellence for employees, clients, consumers, shareholders, and the community. Will adhere to the food safety standards to ensure OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal regulations are being met. Will perform other tasks, as needed, to maintain the assigned area in a clean and orderly fashion.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior cooking experience in food service, preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification, preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and handling technique.
  • General knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
  • Must be dependable, flexible and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Hours

This is a full-time position working 8-to-12-hour shifts, days and hours will vary depending on the needs of the department.
