Job summary

Martine Center in White Plains, NY, is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, and serve a variety of meals in a skilled nursing setting. You will bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies; work on tray line during meals; and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

The role requires healthcare cooking certification, at least one year in large-scale cooking, strong teamwork, and excellent customer service. You may supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the food service director, supporting residents

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo) required.
• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Will manage kitchen in absence of food service director.

• General cleaning up of kitchen
• Hand washing and sanitizing of pot and pans
• Other duties as assigned
