Job summary

The Pines at Poughkeepsie Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents at 100 Franklin Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. You will ensure dietary needs are met and contribute to a positive dining experience in a caring healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior cooking experience in healthcare, knowledge of food safety, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Safe knife handling skills.
• Experience operating commercial slicers, ovens, grills, large blenders, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning and care of dietary equipment, preparation and service areas.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Rate of Pay

USD $20.69 - USD $21.22 /Hr.
