Job summary

National Health Care Associates is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for our Poughkeepsie, NY location. Per diem through December, pay starts at USD 25.00 per hour, with weekly pay and on-site work.

You will lead the dietary team, ensure nutritious meals meet dietary needs, and collaborate with a Dietician to implement care plans. Responsibilities include supervision, meal planning, inventory control, and maintaining food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience in a dietary or food service role.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation and dietary therapies.
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature including experience working with customers or patient families.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Interest in the nutrition and healthcare needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Dedication to upholding high standards of quality and service.
• Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning and care of dietary equipment, preparation and service areas.
