Job summary

The Pines at Poughkeepsie Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee the dietary department and ensure nutritious meals for residents. This per diem role supports operations through December with opportunities for professional growth and mentorship within a National Health Care Associates affiliate.

• Previous healthcare experience in a dietary or food service role.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation and dietary therapies.
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dietary services.

What You'll Do:

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will coordinate the daily operations of the dietary department. Your leadership will ensure patients and residents receive delicious and nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements in an environment of Kindness, Service, Compassion and Excellence.

* Per diem through December

* Weekly pay!!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead dietary staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling

Rate of Pay

Starting from USD $25.00/Hr.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Food Service Supervisor include:

• Previous healthcare experience in a dietary or food service role
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation and dietary therapies
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
• Compassionate and empathetic nature including experience working with customers or patient families
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Interest in the nutrition and healthcare needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Dedication to upholding high standards of quality and service
• Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning and care of dietary equipment, preparation and service areas
