Oak Hill Manor is seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. Residents enjoy three meals daily, and you will play a key role in enhancing their quality of life through skilled meal preparation in a LTC/SNF setting.

The role requires healthcare cooking certification (Serv-Safe), at least one year of large-scale cooking experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proven supervisory abilities. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

• Knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation
• Management experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to supervise kitchen in absence of Food Service Director

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods in LTC/SNF settings

• Ensure timely preparation of trays and meals

Oak Hill Manor is seeking an experienced Cook to work in our kitchen. Our wonderful residents look forward to 3 meals per day every day and this is your opportunity to enhance their quality of life !!!

DUTIES:

• Preparation of cooking, baking and servicing a variety of foods in a LTC & SNF setting
• Preparing foods to proper consistencies
• Working & Supervising on tray line during meal service
• Ensuring tray-line & meals are being prepared in a time-efficient manner
• Overseeing the Hand-washing and sanitizing of pot and pans
• Overseeing the General cleaning up of kitchen
• Responsible for overseeing evening staff & closing of the kitchen
• Supervisory experience is a Plus

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certification in healthcare cooking (Serv-Safe)
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in large-scale cooking
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep
