Job summary

Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Cheraw, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager cook/kitchen worker to join their growing team.

The Cook/Kitchen Worker will support meal preparation and general kitchen operations in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate should be reliable, follow instructions, maintain a clean work area, and work safely in a fast-paced environment. Schedule is 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM with pay at $12.00 per hour.

The Cook/Kitchen Worker will support meal preparation and general kitchen operations in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate should be reliable, able to follow instructions, maintain a clean work area, and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to the established menu plan.

• Manually wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils used in food preparation.

• Clean stoves, countertops, and tabletops in the canteen.

• Stock snacks, cups, plates, utensils, and other kitchen supplies.

• Mop and maintain floors in the kitchen area.

• Safely empty waste oil from the deep fryer.

• Empty trash from containers throughout the kitchen area.

• Put grocery items and deliveries away on the appropriate shelves.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and canteen area.

• Follow all applicable food safety and workplace safety procedures.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule & Compensation

• Regular Work Hours: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM

• Pay: $12.00 per hour

• This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires the ability to remain on your feet and perform physical kitchen duties throughout the shift.

Pay Details: $12.00 per hour
