Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is assisting a local client in Lexington, KY, seeking a Cook for a long-term opportunity. The role supports the Chef, handles daily meal preparations, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, multi-tasking, and reliable.

Shift is 9am–7pm on alternating days, including weekends. Pay is $16.43 per hour with benefits after one week of employment. EOE statements apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance and reliability are essential.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in food service is required or strongly preferred.
• Successful completion of a recognized food safety course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner.
• Determines food and supplies needed and coordinates meal production with serving hours.
• Prepares all special dietary needs as directed by the menus.
• Monitors temperature, taste, and quality to meet guidelines.
• Ensures proper portioning and serving of foods per menu/recipes.
• Tastes and assesses food quality; maintains appearance, cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
• Determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours.
• Prepares all special dietary need as directed by the menus.
• Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are always upheld.
• Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
• Tastes and prepares food to determine quality.
• Maintains or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
• Assists with orientation and training of new kitchen employees.
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Attends all in‑services as required.
• Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
• Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
• Washing dishes and pans
• Clean and sanitize
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Pay Details: $16.43 per hour
