About the Role: Cook
As a Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Halcyon House in Washington, IA.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes daily using chef-approved recipes that highlight your culinary skills.
- Collaborate with Chefs and Food & Beverage Directors while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen.
- Help craft meals that meet modified diet plans, making a real difference in guests’ health and satisfaction.
- Monitor food quality, manage portions, and act quickly to ensure every plate meets our service excellence.
- Follow proper sanitation and waste control practices, contributing to a safe, efficient, and sustainable kitchen.
Opening
- Full‑time for both 1st and 2nd shift
Qualifications
- Culinary education preferred
- Minimum one year cooking experience
- Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred
