Job summary

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Cook who joins our dedicated team of healthcare professionals delivering the highest quality of service to patients and employees. Prepare meals following guidelines and policies, with direction from the Food Service Team Leader.

We value experience with older adults and dementia care, effective communication with residents and families, and a neat appearance. CPR/First Aid certification is encouraged; training can be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults and dementia care.
• Health care facility food service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate well with residents, family members and staff.
• Must be mature, friendly, and enjoy working with people.
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid certification (training available if needed).

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in working with older adults desired. Must have a genuine desire to assist older adults with Dementia
• Previous experience in a health care facility food service department preferred.
• Must be able to communicate well with residents, their family members and other staff
• Must be mature, friendly and enjoy working with people
• Neat in appearance and good personal hygiene
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be CPR/First Aid Certified.(willing to provide training if needed)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed/instructed by the Food Service Team Leader to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
