Cardinal Bay in Bryan, TX is seeking a Part-time Cook for Carriage Inn Bryan, offering flexible evenings and weekend shifts.

Prepare meals, follow dietary needs, and craft sauces and gravies from scratch while maintaining a clean, well-organized kitchen. Minimum 6 months prep cook experience and HS diploma required. Join a compassionate team delivering restaurant-quality dining to residents in a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a prep cook (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assist in preparation of complete meals - preparing and cooking soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, baked goods, etc.
• Complies with all special dietary needs or restrictions of residents ensuring everyone enjoys their meals.
• Create gravies, sauces, and menu items from scratch, showcasing our culinary creativity.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are serve, elevating the dining experience.
• Monitor all food items for compliance with guidelines for temperature, taste and quality.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment; ensuring all equipment is cleaned, working properly, and turned off before closing.
• Assist in properly utilizing inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Carriage Inn Bryan is seeking a Part-time Cook to continue our story of compassionately caring for our residents.

Shifts:

• 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday
• Includes weekend and holiday shifts.
