Job summary

Chateau Retirement is hiring a skilled Cook for our independent, assisted living and memory care community in Bothell. You will prepare and serve scratch-made meals for residents, maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.

You’ll work as part of a close-knit kitchen team, ensuring safety, timing, and quality across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. The role requires 3+ years of cooking in a scratch kitchen, strong knife skills, and relevant food safety certifications.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of cooking in a scratch kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or similar setting.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
  • Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification (MAST or ability to obtain).
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player who takes pride in their work.
  • Interest in serving seniors; experience in senior living is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner from scratch using fresh ingredients.
  • Follow recipes while bringing creativity and quality to every plate.
  • Manage your station—prep, cook, plate, and maintain throughout service.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation per health code standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and dining room staff to deliver smooth, timely service.
  • Assist with inventory and special events when needed.
