Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston is seeking a Cook for a mid-shift role. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items across Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and events, following safety and quality standards. The schedule runs 10:30AM–7:30PM, Monday to Friday, with every other weekend and some holiday coverage.

Flu vaccination is required. This is a full-time position within a compassionate health care system committed to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Action Stations and Special Events.
• Ensure accurate and efficient cooking, portioning and plating to meet service requirements.
• Follow established recipes and standards and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Work a mid-shift schedule 10:30AM to 7:30PM, Monday through Friday, every other weekend, and some holiday coverage.

Pay Range:

$19.68 - $26.49

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
