Job summary

Regency Village at Bend is seeking a cook to join our retirement and assisted living community in Bend, Oregon. You will prepare and serve meals, oversee foodservice operations, and ensure adequate food and supplies for residents.

Responsibilities include following the menu cycle, maintaining a clean kitchen, complying with sanitation codes, and managing inventory while honoring resident preferences. This is a PRN/part-time opportunity dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• One year of cooking experience is preferred.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's card and meet health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Follow the menu cycle and note substitutions as required.
• Clean and maintain a neat, safe kitchen and dining areas.
• Comply with state sanitation codes and regulations.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, and restock as needed.
• Ensure resident food preferences are known and followed.

PRN Opportunities!

As a cook, you will prepare and serve meals, oversee foodservice operation, and ensures adequate food and supplies are available.

You will:

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler's card. Meet all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
• Typical candidates have one year of cooking experience.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
