Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking an experienced Remote Head Cook to manage kitchen staff at SLB East Camp on the North Slope, AK. You will ensure high standards of food preparation and safety while thriving in a remote camp environment and rotating schedule.

The role requires leadership, at least five years of restaurant cooking experience, ability to train others, and willingness to live in dormitory housing with meals provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of directly related restaurant cooking experience
• Ability to instruct and train others
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification on hire
• Pass pre-employment requirements (drug test, physical, fit for duty, hearing test)
• Ability to work as part of a team and make independent decisions
• Ability to stand for 12 hours per shift during rotation
• Ability to live in dormitory-style settings and meet cleanliness requirements
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least five (5) years of directly related restaurant cooking experience
• Ability to instruct and train others
• Must have or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire
• Pass all pre-employment contract requirements (drug test, physical, fit for duty, hearing test)
• Ability to work as part of a team and make independent decisions
• Ability to stand for 12 hours per shift during rotation
• Ability to live in dormitory-style settings and meet cleanliness requirements
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and meet other physical requirements
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
• Ability to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps
