Job summary

Blick Art Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electrical systems, conveyor systems, and other machinery to support production and business requirements. You will complete planned maintenance when scheduled and ensure accurate documentation of all work performed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing electrical/mechanical problems, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with building projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical installations and repairs up to 480V AC, three-phase.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Solid mechanical aptitude; conveyor systems experience preferred.
• Basic construction knowledge; use of hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills; able to document work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good math skills for calculations.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Willingness to operate elevated lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on the conveyor system and other machinery and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor system and other machinery and equipment.
• Install upgrades on new machinery/equipment as required. Perform PM/changes on lighting, HVAC components, plumbing. Assemble and repair carts, shelving, tables and other building projects.
• Demonstrate safe work habits, use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper waste disposal; report hazards.
• Fully and accurately complete all required departmental documentation.
• Perform other tasks to support maintenance and production; assist with upkeep of maintenance crib, remote storage, and rack repair.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance area; return tools to proper places.
