Job summary

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking a Conveyor Technician to support the maintenance team in ensuring safe, reliable operation of all conveyor systems in the distribution center.

You will troubleshoot, clear jams, perform diagnostics, and carry out preventative maintenance from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Document repairs and parts usage in the maintenance database and help identify root causes of recurring problems.

Qualifications

• Conveyor maintenance experience.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose conveyor systems.
• Able to read electrical prints (a plus).
• Follow mechanical drawings and parts breakdowns.
• Document repairs, parts used and task times in maintenance database.
• Clear jams and identify root causes in high jam areas.
• Familiar with 120V and 24VDC circuits and 120/480V motors.
• Wiring of 480V motors and accessories (brakes, soft starts, VFDs).
• Lockout/tagout procedures familiar.
• Comfort working at heights (30'+).
• PPE awareness and application knowledge.
• Welding and machining experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fri-Sun, 6AM-6PM.
• Overtime availability when needed.
• Early or late arrivals to complete repairs.
• Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
• Occasional rotation to other areas such as building maintenance or grounds.
